Meet Chrissy – 2X Survivor
I was 26 when I first felt a tiny lump in my left breast. I went onto Google which said it could be associated with my menstrual cycle.

I had 28 rounds of chemotherapy and 9 breast surgeries which included double mastectomies and reconstructions. I made it my mission to show how life after cancer is and can be better than before.
"After experiencing Breast Cancer, my main goal now is to raise awareness to others about breast cancer detection, and encourage women to share their stories of diagnosis, treatment and healing so they know that they are not alone in their journey."
As a 2x cancer survivor it is vital that you follow-up and do your mammogram. Both times that's what detected my cancer.
I was a teacher for 13 years. I was that "yes" girl that over-extended herself and said yes to everyone. I suddenly found myself being extremely overworked and underpaid. When I found a lump in my left breast, everything changed.
I married my high school best friend September 8th, 2018. Sometime in January 2020, I asked him randomly to do a breast exam, a question I'd never asked him before.
One day you are minding your own business and then BOOM, you discover a lump, and no day will ever be the same again. For me, this day was monumental to who I have become.
