Introduction: A New Perspective on Life
Hello, I’m Bec from Brisbane, Australia. Three years ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer in my 30s. Today, I stand here, three years later, cancer-free and with a newfound appreciation for the sweeter things in life – the things we often overlook.
The Battle Against Cancer
My journey with cancer was a challenging one. I had a massive 90mm/9cm tumor that was removed through a single mastectomy and reconstruction. This was followed by six months of chemotherapy and ongoing hormone therapy. Despite the physical and emotional toll, I emerged victorious, now in the clear and living a life quite different from before.
Creating Hope Aromas: A Healing Journey
In the process of healing and recovery, I found a new passion – I started a Candle, diffuser, and home fragrance business called Hope Aromas. My battle with cancer made me realize how many items we have in our homes that are loaded with toxins, parabens, and additives that we don’t need around us or our loved ones.
A Passion for Self-Care and Kindness
I’ve always loved candles that looked as beautiful as they smelt, so I created just that. I am passionate about self-care and taking time out for oneself. I’ve created products that make stunning gifts because everyone deserves to be spoilt. You never know what someone is going through unless they share their story. This business has become a great way for me to spread awareness about breast cancer and help others to share kindness.
