“I was 26 when I first felt a tiny lump in my left breast. I went onto Google which said it could be associated with my menstrual cycle.”

I went onto Google which said it could be associated with my menstrual cycle.

I hoped it would go away but it didn’t. After a month, I finally got the courage to call my doctor.

After that things moved really fast and within a couple months I had a laser lumpectomy and was cancer free.

Two years later, the cancer returned.

I then decided to go the standard route with another laser lumpectomy, chemo and radiation.

Some of the biggest lessons I learned were don’t wait, get second or even third opinions, do what feels comfortable and be your own health advocate. It’s so important to ask questions and completely understand what is going on with your body. I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses.

I love sharing my story especially to young women.

I also started my own business, Breast La Vie, an organic breast skincare line to create awareness.
