Stage 3, Canada
“Hi, I’m Stephanie from BC Canada 🇨🇦
I was diagnosed last year just after my 29th birthday with triple positive breast cancer.”
My first walk-in clinic doctor dismissed my firmness/lump as “muscle”. I was never given a stage, though I’m assuming it was 3, because I needed chemotherapy to shrink the tumor first. It was too large to remove at first.
I’ve gone through so much in 2020. Break ups and dating, watching family go through cancer too, losing a grandparent and not being able to say goodbye due to the pandemic, losing pets, moving back in with my parents— and of course Chemo, double mastectomy, radiation, tamoxifen… BUT I’m proud of the way I’ve handled it all.
