Those were the first words that came to mind when I was told I had breast cancer.
Hearing a doctor say that I not only had cancer—but that I would need to undergo a mastectomy—was shocking. I felt instantly numb. Even though my diagnosis was Stage 0 breast cancer, the emotional impact was overwhelming and unexpected.
As soon as I got home, I began researching everything I could about breast cancer. What I found was a sea of clinical, medical information—but very little that spoke to what a woman truly goes through, both physically and emotionally.
There was almost nothing that reflected the fear, the confusion, the vulnerability, or the resilience that comes with hearing the words “you have cancer.”
That’s when I knew I needed to share my story.
I decided to document my journey through an honest, raw, and sometimes humorous blog—one that told the real story of what it’s like to navigate breast cancer, not just the medical facts.
I’ve been blogging since the day I was diagnosed and continue to write and connect with women from all over the world. Sharing my experience has become a powerful way to process my own journey while helping others feel seen and understood.
Through this journey, I met Cynthia and Learn Look Locate, and I immediately knew I had found a kindred spirit. A place where education meets lived experience, and where stories like mine truly matter.
