Understanding that we have great ways of preventing nausea. There’s like actually five pathways in the brain that you can block that would prevent nausea. So, you know, before anybody gets a drop of this medication, you should be getting many different anti-nausea medications to help combat that. Then you should also have a group of anti-nausea medications to take while you’re at home.
Usually nausea, and when we talk about the red devil, there’s certain doses that we give, but the typical dose that we give for a region called dose-thick safety, which is the most common, does cause nausea. So most people will be subject to nausea. So it’s important to have that discussion with your oncologist about what am I doing to help reduce my risk of nausea and vomiting. Because that’s a really debilitating side effect that most people could get that we can try to prevent.”

There are several ways to diagnose breast cancer, including mammograms, biopsies, and ultrasounds. Once breast cancer is diagnosed, there are a few treatment options available, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The best way to treat breast cancer is to catch it early and to get the best treatment possible.
