Is it just random? A: I mean, it’s really the type of cancer that it is and the fact that it is fast growing. And so it will just go to the least path of resistance, which is if it invades a lymphatic nearby in the breast, it’ll just travel up to the skin because there’s a lot of lymphatics in the skin. So, um, you know, and it’s just the type of cancer that is just rapidly growing.
Allison DiPasquale, MD, is a Breast Surgical Oncologist at Texas Oncology. She is dedicated to the treatment and cure of breast cancer, benign breast diseases and high-risk genetic patients. She decided at an early age to dedicate her career to those affected with breast cancer. Dr. DiPasquale strives to progress the field of breast cancer surgery and push the needle forward in terms of Surgical technique and innovation.
Katrina is in the process of writing a book that narrates her journey with breast cancer. Unlike traditional memoirs on the subject, she aims to present her story in a novelistic format, giving cancer and her brain their own characters.
