How Many Cancers Can Mammograms Really Find?

https://learnlooklocate.com/densebreast-info-org-expert-dense-breast-education/ Stacy Smith Foley, MD: Mammograms remain the gold standard for early breast cancer detection, identifying 5–7 cancers per 1,000 women screened. For women with dense breasts, adding ultrasound finds even more cancers, and MRI can detect up to 18 additional cases. New technologies like contrast-enhanced mammography now bridge the gap, offering better accuracy in detecting hidden cancers. Learn Look Locate continues to educate women on all screening options for proactive breast health. Stay informed, ask questions, and prioritize your screenings — because early detection truly saves lives. Follow for more updates and education from trusted medical experts.

Cynthia Jordan, Founder of Learn Look Locate LLC in 2018 has generated a global movement to provide critical education for the early detection of breast cancer. It is estimated that one in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. While most of these cases are diagnosed in women over the age of 50, the disease can affect women of any age. Early detection is critical to survival, yet many women are not familiar with the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

We advocate the importance of self-breast exams, what to look for when performing a self-exam, and when to see a doctor. We provide resources for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as for their families and friends.

The five-year survival rate for women who catch their cancer early is nearly 100%. Here’s an important statistic. Many women do not perform self-breast exams or see a doctor for regular screenings. Learn Look Locate LLC wants to highlight the work of organizations around the world that are working to promote early detection of breast cancer. We will feature stories of women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and share their journeys.

There are several ways to diagnose breast cancer, including mammograms, biopsies, and ultrasounds. Once breast cancer is diagnosed, there are a few treatment options available, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The best way to treat breast cancer is to catch it early and to get the best treatment possible.

There is a strong community of women who have been affected by breast cancer. In addition, there are a number of organizations and resources available to help women find the support they need.

Learn Look Locate LLC provides resources for women who want to get involved in the fight against breast cancer.
