I know that sounds really weird, but it was a relief in saying, okay, these doctors know what they’re doing, and we’re going to fight this, and my doctor said, we’re going to kill this. We’re going to kill it. We have what we need to kill it. So I was relieved and I’ve shared with you before that I have faith and I you know I trust that in God and that he was going to get me through all of this and I had a 6-year-old daughter at the time so I wanted to be strong for her as strong as I could be and um but she was really the strong one for me she helped me through it.
Allison DiPasquale, MD, is a Breast Surgical Oncologist at Texas Oncology. She is dedicated to the treatment and cure of breast cancer, benign breast diseases and high-risk genetic patients. She decided at an early age to dedicate her career to those affected with breast cancer. Dr. DiPasquale strives to progress the field of breast cancer surgery and push the needle forward in terms of Surgical technique and innovation.
Katrina is in the process of writing a book that narrates her journey with breast cancer. Unlike traditional memoirs on the subject, she aims to present her story in a novelistic format, giving cancer and her brain their own characters.
