The years 2024 and 2025 have been the hardest years of my life, to say the very least. But through the fire, I’ve learned one key lesson: I am a determined, stubborn, and unbreakable warrior.
Over the last 24 months, my life has been a series of battles I never asked to fight, but each challenge has made me stronger and more resilient.
In February 2024, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer (ER-positive, PR-positive), just four months after receiving a “clear” mammogram. I found the tumors myself. This unexpected diagnosis sent shockwaves through my world.
Following a mastectomy in April 2024, my body endured months of suffering. I faced infections, multiple surgeries, a protruding tissue expander, and a failed reconstruction. What followed was a long recovery process, with my body healing from an open wound for months.
As I began to catch my breath, August 2024 brought another challenge: a melanoma diagnosis. This meant more surgery, more stitches, and an even greater toll on my physical and emotional well-being.
In December 2024, I had to face yet another health scare. A new issue at the same surgical site led to additional surgery for a dysplastic nevus. Unfortunately, my incision failed and burst open, forcing me to restart the healing process from scratch.
Then, in November 2025, I believed I would finally take the last step toward recovery with a hysterectomy. But what was meant to be the final procedure turned into a life-threatening emergency. I faced internal bleeding, requiring two blood transfusions and an emergency surgery. It was a harsh reminder of how fragile life can be, and how quickly things can change.
Despite everything, I am still here.
I have spent months of my life in bandages, living with stitches, and waking up in hospital beds. I have been poked, prodded, and tested to my absolute limit. There were moments when I didn’t know if my body could take any more.
But it did.
This journey has taught me that even when life knocks you down, there’s always the possibility to rise again. I stand here today as a survivor—stronger, braver, and more determined than ever to share my story and empower others facing similar battles.
