Biography

Tinamarie Bauman, ARNP, is a highly experienced advanced practice nurse in genetics for over 20 years of clinical experience. She currently serves as the Director of Oncology Programs- IL North Region and Lead APN of the Cancer Prevention Program at Advocate Health. Tinamarie Bauman completed her undergraduate studies at Niagara University, attended the Fox Chase Course, and other rigorous Graduate Course work in genetics to earn her Board certification as an APN in Genetics. My passion is rooted in the science of hereditary cancer genetics and its potential to transform lives. Understanding the complexities of inherited cancer risks empowers us to move beyond uncertainty and implement evidence-based risk-reduction strategies. By leveraging advances in genetic science, harnessing the power of Hereditary Cancer Genetics to empower women with knowledge about their hereditary cancer risks. By understanding these risks, we can clarify uncertainties, develop personalized risk-reduction strategies, and implement proactive measures to create healthier outcomes. Through my expertise in cancer prevention, I aim to equip women with the tools they need to take control of their health, reduce their cancer risks, and achieve better lives. As a dedicated medical oncology certified nurse practitioner specializing in Oncology Genetics and Cancer Prevention, I am passionate about empowering patients to understand their unique cancer risks. My goal is to guide individuals through personalized risk management, screening, and prevention strategies to help them make the best decisions for their health and future. Collaborating with Look, Learn, Locate, Locate allows me to extend this vital mission of education, awareness, prevention to reduce their cancer risks and achieve better outcomes on a global scale.
