Biography

Lalymar “Laly” Havern is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist and a recognized leader in clinical pharmacy strategy with a deep commitment to advancing patient care. She specializes in oncology and fertility pharmacy services, integrating clinical expertise with innovative strategies to improve the patient experience and expand access to care.

As Director of Clinical Pharmacy Strategy at Walgreens, Laly oversees enterprise-wide disease state strategy and financial operations for the oncology and fertility divisions. She has been instrumental in building and implementing programs that help patients navigate fertility preservation during cancer care, increasing access to fertility products and services, and establishing partnerships with advocacy and policy organizations. Her efforts have led to significant program growth, expanding fertility access from 14 sites to 60 and launching a fertility preservation intervention for oncology patients undergoing gonadotoxic treatment.

Laly’s career spans over a decade of leadership in pharmacy management, clinical program development, and quality initiatives. Before her current role, she served as Clinical Pharmacist Manager for Walgreens’ Office of Clinical Integrity, where she developed continuing education programs, supported prescriptive authority initiatives, and ensured clinical excellence across the company. She has also managed community-based specialty pharmacies in Washington, DC, Las Vegas, and St. Louis, building high-touch, innovative patient care models.

Her work has been presented at the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Conference and published in Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Oncology. She holds a PharmD from Duquesne University, an MS in Pharmacogenomics from the University of Florida, an MS in Biology from Chatham University, and a BBA in International Business from Florida International University.

Laly is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), and American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
