Dr. Ron Israeli is a highly accomplished plastic and reconstructive surgeon based on Long Island, New York, whose expertise in breast reconstruction has earned him widespread recognition and numerous professional honors. With over three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Israeli has dedicated his career to advancing breast reconstruction through evidence-based surgical innovation, compassionate patient care, and educational excellence.
Dr. Israeli is the Founding Partner of NYBRA Plastic Surgery, a leading private practice in breast reconstruction and plastic surgery. He maintains active surgical privileges at nine hospitals throughout Long Island and the New York region, including North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset, Winthrop University Hospital, and Huntington Hospital. His clinical practice emphasizes both implant-based reconstruction and autologous flap procedures, with particular expertise in direct-to-implant techniques, revision surgery, and managing complex complications.
Internationally recognized for his contributions to breast reconstruction, Dr. Israeli has been featured in numerous medical publications, textbooks, and educational materials. He is a co-author of the definitive reference work Refinements in the Art of Complex Breast Reconstruction (Elsevier, 2025), which showcases advanced surgical techniques and innovations in the field. Additionally, he collaborated on the acclaimed multimedia art book Restored (2021), which combines life cast sculpture and photography to celebrate the physical and emotional transformation that breast reconstruction provides to survivors.
Dr. Israeli’s commitment to education and mentorship extends across multiple institutions. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, he teaches resident surgeons and contributes to surgical training.
