Biography
Dr. David Light is a fellowship-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He is recognized for his surgical expertise and compassionate care, performing over 300 primary and revision breast reconstructions annually.
Dr. Light is a pioneer in advanced breast reconstruction techniques, including hybrid flaps, extended DIEP flaps, and stacked flaps. He offers immediate sensory reconstruction (Resensation) and was the first surgeon on Long Island to perform autologous lymph node transfers and lymphovenous bypasses.
In addition to his reconstructive work, Dr. Light has a thriving aesthetic practice focusing on face, breast, and abdominal rejuvenation. His experience in complex breast reconstruction contributes to his ability to deliver natural, long-lasting results in aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Light completed his general surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, followed by plastic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He further specialized with a reconstructive microsurgical fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Fox Chase Cancer Center.
