Biography

Dr. Barry Rosen is a renowned breast surgical oncologist with over 25 years of experience in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. As a nationally recognized expert in oncoplastic surgery, Dr. Rosen has dedicated his career to advancing breast cancer treatment and education. He serves as the Senior Medical Advisor for Learn Look Locate, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization.

Dr. Rosen’s commitment to excellence in breast cancer care extends beyond his clinical practice. He has been on the faculty for prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS), the School of Oncoplastic Surgery, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers. His passion for creating national standards for quality outcomes in breast cancer surgery led to his chairmanship of the National Quality Metrics for Breast Centers (NQMBC) and his participation on the Patient Safety and Quality Committee for the ASBrS.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Rosen has held several leadership positions. He served as Chief Medical Officer at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital for 20 years and has since held similar appointments in industry for Eton Pharmaceuticals and ClearCut Medical. Currently, he is the Chief Medical Officer of SimBioSys, a digital software company harnessing the power of AI to optimize breast cancer treatment, and a medical director at Aptitude Health.

Dr. Rosen is also deeply committed to breast cancer education and advocacy. He serves as a medical advisor for My Density Matters, a breast cancer education and advocacy organization. Locally, he is the medical director for the Cancer Prevention Program at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, where he also serves as medical director of their comprehensive breast center.
