Biography
Dr. Anne Peled is a uniquely qualified surgeon specializing in breast cancer surgery, plastic surgery, and breast reconstruction. Based in San Francisco, she combines her expertise as a breast cancer surgeon and a plastic surgeon to offer innovative approaches to breast cancer treatment and reconstruction.
Dr. Peled completed her undergraduate studies at Amherst College, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Spanish. She then attended Harvard Medical School for her medical degree. Her extensive training includes residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the same institution.
As a breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Peled brings a unique perspective to her practice, combining her professional expertise with personal experience. This has strengthened her commitment to providing empathetic and personalized care for her patients.
Dr. Peled is pioneering innovative techniques in breast cancer treatment, including a combined mastectomy and reconstruction approach that preserves the nipple, skin, and sensation. Her research focuses on improving outcomes after breast cancer surgery and breast reconstruction.
