Biography

Dr. Charles H. Weaver is a pioneering medical oncologist who has dedicated his career to advancing cancer research, treatment, and patient education. After completing his medical training at prestigious institutions including the University of Washington, University of Pennsylvania, National Institutes of Health, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Dr. Weaver embarked on a multifaceted career that bridges clinical research, healthcare management, and digital health innovation.

As a researcher, Dr. Weaver contributed significantly to the field of stem cell therapy, breast cancer, and lymphomas. His work as part of the group that received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for pioneering work in stem cell transplantation led to over 75 publications in major medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine.

In 1994, Dr. Weaver transitioned to the private sector, serving as Chief Medical Officer for a Physician Practice Management company. There, he played a crucial role in transitioning stem cell therapies to the private sector, creating clinical trials networks, and developing cancer treatment strategies used by hundreds of oncologists across the United States.

Since 1998, Dr. Weaver has been at the forefront of digital health and cancer education. He founded several companies, including CancerConnect.com, a leading Internet cancer portal and social media platform supporting over 250,000 cancer patients monthly. His work in this arena has made him a respected figure in oncology content development, digital distribution, and patient engagement strategies.

Dr. Weaver’s current focus is on leveraging digital and social media solutions to enhance patient education, engagement, and clinical trial recruitment. He actively consults with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups to improve patient decision-making and engagement in oncology care.
