When I founded Learn Look Locate, I wasn’t trying to build just another website.

I was trying to build something I wished had existed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I wanted a place where patients could find trusted information, real stories, expert guidance, and compassionate support—all in one place. Most importantly, I wanted that information to be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they lived.

That vision has always been bigger than borders.

Today, I am incredibly honored to welcome Dr. Karishma Kirti, a Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist based in Mumbai, India, to the Learn Look Locate Medical Advisory Team.

For me, this isn’t simply about adding another physician advisor. It represents another step toward the global mission that has driven Learn Look Locate from the very beginning: ensuring that medically vetted breast health and breast cancer education reaches people around the world.

Recently, Learn Look Locate officially announced Dr. Kirti’s appointment to our growing international advisory team. Meet Dr. Karishma Kirti

Dr. Kirti is one of India’s emerging leaders in breast cancer care and women’s health.

Based in Mumbai, she currently serves as Assistant Professor and Breast Consultant in the Department of Surgical Oncology at D.Y. Patil Hospital, Navi Mumbai, while also practicing as a Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre.

Her training includes prestigious fellowships at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and L’Institut du Sein in Paris, one of the world’s leading centers for oncoplastic breast surgery.

That realization has shaped Learn Look Locate from the very beginning.

My goal has never been to create a resource for one city, one country, or one healthcare system.

My goal has always been to build a global community where trusted information, expert guidance, and real human connection are available to everyone.

This is one of the most complex and emotionally challenging areas of breast cancer care, and her expertise will help provide women and families with trusted information during an incredibly vulnerable time.

Her leadership, compassion, and dedication to patient education make her the perfect physician to guide this important initiative.

A Personal Reflection

As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand how overwhelming a diagnosis can feel.

I also know how much confidence comes from hearing directly from experts who genuinely care.
