Thoughts from Survivor Christina

“I am a clinical psychologist, a best-selling author, a mom of six, and a breast cancer warrior too. I wanted to be part of what Learn Look Locate is doing because I have seen what breast cancer does to women, to our mental state, emotional, social and spiritual states, in addition to the physical. And I want to help others to know you’re not alone, that help is available, and that together we can heal all parts of ourselves. And that’s what I love about what Learn Look Locate is doing.” – Christina, Breast cancer survivor.

Comforting Thoughts from Christina

“Most women have told me that the hardest part of the cancer journey for them has been the emotional and mental experience. And there’s such a lack of support and understanding for that experience. So it ends up making us feel like we’re somehow crazy or wrong to feel what we feel. I am a huge advocate for feeling what you feel if you’re afraid, if you’re anxious, if you’re overwhelmed, if you’re traumatized, if you’re grieving. These are normal reactions to a very abnormal and traumatic experience and help is available. You can join my monthly support group. It’s called Growing Through Breast Cancer. You can find it on Facebook or the link here on Learn Look Locate and come back here to Learn Look Locate for more tools for how to support you through your emotional journey too.” – Christina Hibbert, Breast Cancer Survivor
